How do I schedule an appointment with Lee County DMV? ›

Appointments are not required, but recommended. To schedule call 941-723-4551.

To make an appointment, go to flhsmv.gov and click on the Locations tab. Is there anywhere I can go online to see announcements or information related to open appointments or events in Miami-Dade or Broward Counties?

Depending on your location the office may offer services on a walk-in or appointment only basis. Visit our Locations page for addresses, telephone numbers and hours of operation.

If you just don't have the time or patience, you can nix the appointment and opt to walk in during a slow period. If you want to get in and out of the DMV in the shortest time possible, go: Bright and early when the DMV opens. Before the lunch hour, before noon.

Reinstatement Fees

For reinstating your license after failing to pay child support, you will pay $60.00. For other suspensions, you must pay a suspension reinstatement fee of $45.00. Additionally, if your situation involved drugs or alcohol, you must pay an additional $130.00 administrative fee.

Driver's License/ID Cards

The fee for an initial Florida Class E license (including learner's permit) is $48.00, a commercial driver license (Class A) license is $75.00 and endorsem*nts are $7.00 each. The fee for an ID Card is $25.00. Most local Tax Collector offices also charge a $6.25 service fee.
